I had the best time in Nashville for the CMAfest. Now that I am somewhat recovered, I want to share some advice and my favorite parts of the week. This is my third time attending. Each year I have a very different experience and only seems to get better. There really is that much going on; from meet and greet booths in the Convention Center, to Stadium shows, to small intimate fan club parties and small stages at bars, you really can experience the best of everything country music has to offer here.

I already have a blog up about my favorite hotels, but after adding a few more stays at Niido Air B&B this year, I can’t recommend this place enough. The pool and amenities are so amazing and you can’t beat the price or location. Booking a hotel is also something you don’t want to put off. They book up fast and can be very expensive, but the beer is cheap, the weather is (usually) great, and the free entertainment can’t be beat.

The CMAfest is also the time of the year when most artists will put on an annual fan club party in Nashville. These usually occur in an intimate bar or other small venue and you will generally have the opportunity to take a picture with your favorites. Again, I recommend joining the fan clubs of your favorite artists in advance so you know when and where the events will take place and for the best access to these parties.

Aside from the fan club parties, you can always wait until the line up is announced at all stages and bars and make yourself a spread sheet to maximize your country music time, HA! Seriously, you need to have a plan if you don’t want to miss the action. In the end, I honestly think that the Stadium tickets are unnecessary to enjoy the CMAfest, but if you like stadium shows, do it! Either way, I think it is a can’t miss for Country Music Lovers!
