Fort Worth/Billy Bob's
Fort Worth is one of the few remaining cowboy towns. Don’t be surprised to see longhorns, cowboys on horses, and catch a rodeo or two while you are in town. If you are going to see Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, or any of the other big acts gracing Billy Bob’s stage in the next few months, you are in for a treat!
Hotels
Springhill Suites by Marriott Fort Worth Stockyards
This hotel looks brand new and is in the perfect location for everything in Fort Worth. We parked our car upon arrival and didn't have to touch it once. We were able to walk everywhere. It has a small pool, free breakfast, a restaurant/bar on the roof, and a fitness center.
This brand new hotel is as country glam as they come. Even the smallest detail was not overlooked; from the gorgeous leather-bound walls to the cowboy wallpaper in the bathrooms. The inside is beautifully decorated with the class and fringe of a gorgeous cowboy ranch. It has a beautiful pool with chandeliered cabanas, a 24-hour exercise room, complete with Lululemon mirrors and three Pelotons, and a gorgeous bar and restaurant when you enter.
Eat
H3 Steakhouse
Who would think a steak with enchiladas, beans, and rice would be good? The Mexicali as they call it is the perfect cure for a hangover. The party I was with was all happy with the portions, quality, and taste of the food they ordered. The bar area has cute saddle bar stools and is the perfect mix of Mexican food and Steakhouse.
Joe T Garcias
Tex-Mex, the atmosphere, and an ultra-famous roster of happy customers make this place a popular destination in Fort Worth. It is cash only and the line is always long so make sure you are prepared. Although I was slightly disappointed with the food, the margaritas were amazing and the ambiance lived up to its reviews. Try and get a table outside.
Must See
Billy Bobs-
Billy Bob’s is the world’s largest Honky Tonk and has the memorabilia to prove it. You could easily spend a few hours looking at the hand imprints left by the hundreds of musicians that have graced their stage. The backstage pass collection, pic, and guitar collection are just as impressive. Make sure to make time to watch the bull riding, get a dance lesson, and explore this iconic venue.
White Elephant Saloon-
This legendary saloon carries a lot of history. From rodeo cowboy hats covering the ceiling to the legends and stories about the bar as one of the wildest saloons of the Old West. Today they offer live music daily and a wooden dancefloor.
Longhorn crossing-
Every day in the Stockyards, the longhorns can be seen as they are driven from one place to another. This happens at 11:30 and 4. Definitely amazing to see and to be so close to.
