Nashville is Back
NASHVILLE IS BACK
There is a newfound energy in Nashville. You can feel it flowing from the musicians, the entire entertainment indrustry, the travel industry, the locals, and tourists. It seems like everyone is breathing a big sigh of relief and ready to celebrate life returning to normal.
Lines last weekend were wrapped around the block to enter venues and bars on Broadway. To say the city is exploding with people who have waited to celebrate 21st birthdays and bachelor/bachelorette parties is an understatement.
New Finds
This little piece of heaven is perfect for day drinks and boujee pictures. Everything about it screams beach and Hampton vibes. From the light and airy decor to the fancy drinks to the open and airy architecture it is unlike anything else in Nashville. Also, it is home to the Rose all day sign. Highly recommend.
-Dogwood Social
I was looking for something a little off the beaten path, and Dogwood Social is the place to be on Sundays. It is located in Midtown, has a great rooftop, and is similar to a day club with music blaring, people dancing, pool tables, and games.
This venue is quickly becoming one of my favorites for writer rounds and an intimate experience with artists. The elevated stage, huge tables, booths, and a long row of bar seating make the stage easy to see, and the sound is fantastic. Live Oak is a quiet setting focused on the artists and their songs which is a nice break from the typical Broadway experience. Make sure and get there early to secure your spot. Riley Green was a surprise performer at the last event I attended.

Jesse Lopez is starting to get noticed not only in Nashville but across the country. He is a self-taught guitarist who learned the trade on the streets of Nashville. He sings, writes music, and has graced the Whiskey Jam stage three times. His energy on stage is infectious. Follow him on Instagram @soundslikeJesse
Stay
On this trip, I stayed at the Westin. I love this hotel because of its amazing location. It is central, so Broadway is walkable. It also has a great rooftop bar, a fantastic pool, a bar on the roof, a spa and a workout facility. Right now, the restaurant and bar aren't open on the main floor, and the hours for the rooftop are limited. However, you can still order room service and make spa appointments.
The most important piece of advice I have is to make reservations and plan on being patient. Nash is worth it.
