Key West Restaurants
Mile 0 Fest 2019 (https://www.mile0fest.com/lineup-2019/) is just around the corner, so I thought I would share my favorite places to eat in Key West and where I love to recover from Duval street the night before!
Where to Go:
Blue Heaven- Blue Heaven has a long history in the Conch Republic, and is by far the best breakfast in Key West! Hemingway once officiated boxing matches here and it is now a restaurant in a garden filled courtyard complete with quirky decor, chickens, cats and ping pong tables sprawled out on a dirt floor.
It is always busy in the morning so you should expect a wait. I love to sip on their Bloody Mary's, play a game of ping pong and always hope to enjoy the live music they have (almost) everyday from 11-1. The lobster Benedict and the Key Lime pie are both amazing!
Better Than Sex- If you like dessert, you have to try this place! It is an intimate dimly lit dessert restaurant with decadent drinks and desserts that are out of this world! The desserts all have scandalous names so definitely not recommended for under 18. They rim the wine or champagne glasses with whatever flavor of chocolate you would like if you are in the mood for a fancy cocktail.
Reservations are a must.
Schooners Wharf- While on a bar crawl around the island, make sure you stop at Schooners Wharf and have a bite to eat! A little off Duval and located on the water, it is another quirky Key West bar/restaurant that you can't find anywhere else.
Try the blackened Mahi Mahi, the shrimp, and listen to Michael McCloud, a Key West staple, play every afternoon Thursday-Sunday!
Latitudes- Latitudes is a fancy restaurant on Sunset Key, a small island a few hundred yards off of Key West. You have to take a ferry over, so reservations are required to board the boat. You can dine right on the beach or inside. It is on the fancier and more expensive side and but is the most beautiful restaurants in Key West.
