Whiskey Jam is an event that I never miss in Nashville. It takes place in Midtown, so a little off the tourist path. Every Monday and Thursday (pre-covid), Whiskey Jam hosts 4-5 singers and songwriters to share their music and a little bit of the story behind it. Right now it is just on Monday’s so be sure and get to the door early with the limited capacity.

Co-founder Ward Guenther has done an incredible job of making Whiskey Jam an experience unlike anything else in Nashville. Energy, electricity, packed houses, and booking artists on their way to the big stage is his forte. Nowadays things are a little different at Whiskey Jam; tables instead of standing, six feet in between, and masks. However, the new normal has brought a new sense of intimacy. The lack of live music for the last six months has made audiences more appreciative of the songs and musicians and vise versa.

Whiskey Jam has hosted musicians from Luke Combs, Brothers Osborne, Morgan Wallen, Chris Stapleton, and the list goes on and on. Local up and coming artists flock to the stage to test their talent with the crowd. You don't know who you will see at Whiskey Jam on the stage or in the audience, Peyton Manning was once spotted in the crowd and convinced to sing on stage. It has a very local chill bar feel, nothing fancy, just talent. It lets you support live music and the songwriters behind the music and a real taste of Nashville.
