Feels Like Home
Tyler Rich debuts his second EP today after his huge success, "Leave Her Wild," and his Self Titled first album. This record will be just him and his acoustic guitar playing some old favorites and his new debut track and album title, "Feels Like Home."
"Feels Like Home," is an ode to our favorite bars, songs, and cities that feel like home even though it might be our first time visiting.
The original idea for the song was inspired by a trip to Dublin. I went there a few years ago, and I'm very, very Irish. It was that weird feeling, as soon as I landed in Dublin, and as soon as I was in the pubs, the fireplaces, dancing, beer, the comradery, the vibe. Everything that pubs there embody, I was like it's strange I've never been here before, but I feel like I am at home. I wrote down that thought, and I wrote down that feeling I had. A year and a half later, I was going through song ideas, and I landed on that. I was talking with a few buddies, and we were writing this song. We wrote it, (obviously the derivate is this Celtic, pub, Irish vibe), but we wrote it about touring and about every dive bar, tiny little town, that we play in the middle of a summer that we have never even heard of, we can play a show and walk into a bar that feels like our home town. It's about the people, places, and strangers that feel so familiar."
Tyler has been keeping up with his fans during quarantine by going on Instagram live every Sunday with "Leave Her Wild" brunch with his beautiful and hilarious wife Sabina and special guests. They play games, drink, sing, and give you an authentic view into their lives. Plus, if you haven't watched the two of them interact, it will leave you laughing.
Check out the new EP today. This song resonates with a feeling we have missed, sitting at bars or concerts with our friends and strangers, listening to music, people watching, and feeling a connection and sense of togetherness.
