Stagecoach 2019
I have been to my fair share of festivals, and this is by far my favorite- three days in the desert, with great friends, music and food. Granted, we went all out for this trip- We got VIP tickets, which I couldn't recommend more, and did the VIP camping, in an RV we rented which they dropped off at the site and picked up for us.
VIP Wristbands
The VIP wristbands get you access to the standing room in the pit right in front of the stage, and, to two air-conditioned tents on either side of the stage- each with bars, sitting room, places to take pictures, couches, it was just nice. They had porta potties set up, there was never a line, and it was fun to see so many performers out and about in this area. Outside the tents, you can also find a variety of food stands and a few drink stands. With the VIP wristbands, you are also allowed to go back into the regular GA and see friends, ride the Ferris wheel and visit the GA camping.
Safari Camping
We rented an RV and had them deliver it to the campsite. The whole process was so easy. Safari has golf carts to take you to the Uber pick up or to the concert venue. It has indoor airconditioned showers with hot water, and it has a lounge with airconditioning and a bar that serves breakfast and late night snacks. You can view this as a pro or con, but, the Safari camping was very quiet. There was not much going on. It was easy to nap and to sleep at night. Our time in the GA camping was much crazier and seemed to have never-ending parties.
TIps:
*Bring lots of sunblock
*Don't forget to drink water
*If you have those mister fans or just misters, bring them! It is that hot.
*Pick your favorite artists and try to make it to their shows, but honestly, it is hard to be outside in the heat all day. Breaks are super important.
*The hats we bought from Neon Cowboy were clutch. They kept us from losing each other and made us stand out.
*I would recommend a boot wallet, backpack or fanny pack for your things. There is a high probability you will get spilled on or lose something.
*If you do camp, try to make friends with pools or rent a house with a pool.
*Do what you can to avoid the uber line. It is horrible. Walking, biking, peddle cabs, staying somewhere close, but not the Uber line.
*Bring a bandana, it gets really dusty especially when the wind starts blowing.
*Don’t forget a portable charger.
I loved seeing Luke Combs come out with Sam Hunt. Sam Hunt showing up at the Diplo event. Billy Ray Cyrus and Lil Nas X coming out to sing their new song. I loved having so many great artists at one event. I loved how friendly everyone was and the pit was not a pushy place.
I really can't wait for next year. I feel like this is an event I have to make an annual tradition. There is a reason it has a reputation as the best festival.
