Hotels:

Mandarin Oriental-www.mandarinoriental.com

If you are looking for a 5-star hotel in Boston, this is it. It has the perfect location right on Boylston, two blocks from the Boston Marathon finish line and Copley Square, which is a fun meeting place. It has a fantastic spa, and everything is top-notch.

Hilton Back Bay- This is another hotel I recommend because it is right in the heart of everything. You can walk to Fenway, Newberry Street, Boylston, and all the great shopping and restaurants. It has a fitness center, indoor pool, and hot tub

The Verb-www.theverbhotel.com

If you are looking to for a unique boutique hotel with a music theme, right by the heart of Fenway the Verb is your hotel. It seems like Hard Rock took a page from its book. It backs up to Fenway and is on a street lined with restaurants and bars. The entire hotel is music based, with record players in every room and a selection of records you can choose from at check-in and take back with you. It is close to all the colleges, and its amenities include a restaurant, bar, and a heated outdoor pool.

Must Do's

Fenway-

Fenway Park is a must-see even if you don't like baseball. It feels like stepping back in time and has an energy that is unlike any other baseball field that I have been too. There are walking tours available if you can't catch a game. If the tickets are too far out of your budget, try watching from the Bleacher bar. It has a garage door that looks directly onto the field and is a really great time. There is also a country bar down the street from Fenway, called Loretta’s Last Call, which is fun before and after games.

The Freedom Trail-

This walking trail gives you an abundance of American history in a few short miles. It takes you through sixteen important sites of American history. It is a great way to see Boston and to learn about it along the way.

Shopping on Newberry-

Newberry is a street filled with shops, restaurants, and boutiques in cute little brownstone houses. Even the high-end stores fit right in the decor of this charming little street. Just one block off Boylston, it is easy to find and even easier to lose a few hours and dollars.

Cruise Boston Harbor-

I always like to see a city from the water whenever possible, and so I really enjoyed the Boston Harbor dinner cruise. It is three hours and does tend to get chilly, but has excellent food and a live band.

Harvard and MIT-

I always think its fun to tour different colleges and see the campuses. Harvard is beautiful and is an easy subway ride from downtown. There is cute boutique shopping around the campus and places to get Harvard gear.
