I got to meet Dierks on Friday in Chula Vista, and it was incredible! I was so excited to meet him because I feel like I connected with his last album, The Mountain. Since most of this album was written in Colorado and a few references to Colorado, this Colorado girl couldn't have been more excited!

This weekend I traveled to the west coast for a little getaway & found myself at Ohana Fest! When Eddie Vedder (lead singer of Pearl Jam) planned the Ohana fest, he didn't try to fit the artists he invited into a box. It was a little bit of everything.

Eric Church cares about his fans and cares about them in the almost protective dad kind of way. He has removed tickets from scalpers to sell back to the fans; he has refused to raise ticket prices, and he has given his fans the new music before he released it to the radio or general public.

I love Devin Dawson; his sound, the realness of his lyrics, the way he mixes rock with country, but most of all I love his authenticity. He wrote every song on his debut album and said listening to Dark Horse will give you an idea of who he is.

Last week Midland put on one hell of a show to start a vacation week for the Gator boys, before jetting off to Switzerland this week.
